Mr. Adolfo Bioy Casares with Morel and Faustine.
A fugitive arrives to a lonely island. Suddenly, a group of elegant and old-fashioned people appears. They speak French very well, almost like Latin American people.
An enigmatic scientific, an inaccessible woman, a never ending party and a dialogue repeated over and over again reveal the existence of a mystery.
The fugitive, carrying a heavy marionette of himself, is split, seduced by someone else's story,
without return.
Marionettes will represent on stage one of the many possible versions of La invencion de Morel.  They will try to turn themselves into lively objects of love, power, passion and death, as it concerns a group of puppets dressed and make up for the occasion.
As Mr. Bioy Casares said:

"I was wrong my whole life. I always thought "La invencion de Morel" couldn't be adapted to a film or that it couldn't be staged. What you've done is marvellous., I'm shaken"
Diario Clarin, Dec.1995

"I like better the theatre staged by puppets than by actors". Diario Ambito Financiero, Dec.1995

"I had never imagined Morel's voice, and today I've heard it for the first time".
Revista Caras, Dec.1995.

"I've always thought that "El sueño de los heroes" was a good novel to make a movie and that "La invencion de Morel" was very difficult to be adapted to a film. If I haven't seen Eva Halac's puppets I would have thought it was impossible. Eva Halac did it well.
La maga, April 1996
Critics:

"Beauty + intelligence. An actor in the flesh, the fugitive, must compete with marionettes whose delicate faces and ambiguous shapes create an atmosphere between dream and nightmare. Unusual and refined production".
Revista Noticias, E.S, Aug.1995.

"The puppet is ideal to create dreamt climax where the image is so powerful that the puppeteer presence begin to vanish. The reflex of the two worlds, the puppets' sensuality, the eloquent costume design and a perfect technical management are also achieved."
La Nacion ,S.F, Aug.1995.

"Ruben Tifiro's puppets refinement, the exquisite Renata Schussheim's costume design and the puppeteers skill, give to Eva Halac's  "La invencion de Morel" an ironic elegance that reflects a decadent and lethal world."
Ambito Financiero, N.C, Aug.1995.

"Beautiful production. "La invencion de Morel is a proof that the theatrical imagination has no limits if there is talent (even though we were talking about puppets)"
Clarin ,R.G, Aug. 1995.

"A brilliant production"…"This is an interesting, unusual theatre staging that literature lovers will greatly appreciate. There is visual refinement and good work by the puppeteers, who do a brilliant, graceful job" Buenos Aires Herald ,A.V, Aug.1995

"A production of excellence. We must add to Bioy Casares' clever novel the technical skill that Eva Halac and her group have". El Cronista ,J.D, Aug.1995
